Photos of your driver and vehicle documents are an important part of your profile. We require these photos before we can approve you to drive.

A perfect driver profile photo may lead to higher ratings or tips. Your profile photo is your first and last impression on every passenger. Here’s how to upload your profile photo the first time:
We need a photo of your current and valid driver's license so you can drive. Drivers are required to have a valid driver's license. Driver's license can be from any state, as long as you have a current TLC license.
Here's an example driver's license, with the license number and issue date:

You must submit one of these two:
Upload a copy of their New York State or New Jersey vehicle registration.
Must have a TLC Driver License issued by the Taxi and Limousine commission (TLC). Current (not expired) For-Hire Vehicle License or a Medallion FHV License are also acceptable.
Take a photo of your vehicle from the front with your license plate clear and visible.
All drivers must have a valid vehicle insurance. Insurance documents are as follow:
Standard driver insurance certificate, all TLC drivers must have this certificate. The owner of the car name must be on this certificate.
Proof of insurance and policy coverage. All TLC drivers must have this certificate with car owner name on the insurance. If your name does not appear on the document, you must provide a Declaration Page (or Driver’s List) listing your name and matching policy number.
A list of drivers covered under the insurance. If you are renting a vehicle, and your name is not on the policy you will need this document.
Important: If the policy numbers on the Certificate of Liability and Declaration Page (or Driver’s List) do not match, you must provide a Policy Cover Sheet.
